In the normalised Hochschild complex of an algebra~\(A\) over a commutative ring~\(k\) there is a formula analogous to the classical Cartan homotopy formula, which is associated to a \(k\)-derivation on~\(A\). This formula is here extended to the normalized bivariant Hochschild complex.
