Fix a complex homogeneous space \((X,G)\), i.e., a complex manifold with a transitive, effective, holomorphic action of a Lie group. A locally homogeneous structure on a complex manifold \(M\), modelled on \((X,G)\), is a maximal collection of local biholomorphisms of open sets of \(M\) to open sets of \(X\) (\textit{charts}) so that any two charts differ by the action of an element of \(G\) and every point of \(M\) lies in the domain of a chart. In this paper it is proved that any holomorphic locally homogeneous geometric structure on a two-dimensional complex torus \(T={\mathbb C}^2/\Lambda\), where \(\Lambda\subset\mathbb C^2\) is some lattice, is translation-invariant. The model homogeneous spaces are in this case complex homogeneous surfaces. The proof of the above result is obtained both by general methods and by exploiting the classification of complex homogeneous surfaces. The authors conjecture that the above result holds for higher-dimensional tori: here they prove it for \(G\) nilpotent.
