The paper under review deals with existence and uniqueness results for certain singular integral operators with semi-almost periodic coefficients. Let \(a\) be a semi-almost periodic \(N\times N\)-matrix function and let \(p: \mathbb{R}\to (1,\infty)\) be a slowly oscillating exponent. Assume that \(p\) is such that the Cauchy integral \(S\) is bounded on the variable Lebesgue space \(L^{p(.)}(\mathbb{R})\). Denote by \(P\) and \(Q\) the operators \(P:= (\mathrm{id}+ S)/2\) and \(Q:= (\mathrm{id}- S)/2\). The authors prove as main result that, if \(aP+Q\) is Fredholm in \(L^{p(.)}_N(\mathbb{R})\), then \(a_l P+Q\) and \(a_rP+Q\) are invertible in \(L^{q_l}_N(\mathbb{R})\) and \(L^{q_r}_N(\mathbb{R})\), respectively, with suitable values \(q_l\) and \(q_r\) depending on the limit (inferior, superior) at \(\pm\infty\). Here, \(a_l\) and \(a_r\) are the almost periodic representations of \(a\) at \(-\infty\) and \(+\infty\), respectively.
