The authors generalize their earlier results about an analogue of the Lagrange-Sylvester interpolation problem for rational matrix functions. They give necessary and sufficient conditions for the consistency of a finite collection of interpolation conditions on a rational matrix function which are expressed in terms of residues. They describe when the collection of interpolation conditions is equivalent to a single set of interpolation conditions. Some machinery developed earlier by the authors in connection with characterization of least common minimal multiples and greatest common minimal divisors for regular rational matrix functions is the main tool of the work.
