We recall that a mapping \(\varphi\) of a group \(G\) into the additive group of reals \(\mathbb{R}\) is said to be a (real) pseudocharacter of the group \(G\) if the restriction of \(\varphi\) to any abelian subgroup in \(G\) is a homomorphism of this subgroup into \(\mathbb{R}\) and the function \(\{x, y\} \to \varphi (x,y) - \varphi(x) - \varphi(y)\) is bounded on \(G \times G\). It is evident that the set \(PX(G)\) of all the pseudocharacters of the group \(G\) is a real vector space. In the present paper a complete description of the space of pseudocharacters of the group \(\text{SL} (2,\mathbb{Z})\) is given.
