The author proves a weak type-\((p,p)\) inequality, \(1< p< n\), for solutions of a Dirichlet problem of linear elliptic operators with vanishing oscillation coefficients. The novelty of the proof is the use of the Pucci-Aleksandrov maximum principle, as it was previously used by Caffarelli for \(p\geq n\). This result implies interior \(W^{2,p}\)- estimates for such solutions. The weak type-(1,1) estimate does not hold in general and a weight is required.
