Let \(P\) be a black-box perturbation of the positive Laplacian operator on \(\mathbb R^d\) and \(R(\lambda)=(P-\lambda^2)^{-1}\) the associated resolvent operator such that \(\lambda\in\mathbb C\setminus\{0\}\) and \(\arg(\lambda)\in (0,\pi)\). Let \(\mathcal{R}\) be the set of poles of \(R(\lambda)\), the meromorphic continuation to \(\Lambda\), the logarithmic cover of \(\mathbb C\setminus\{0\}\) for \(d\) an even enter number. For \(k\in\mathbb Z\), we define \(n_k(r)\), the resonance counting functions and defined as the cardinal of the set \(\{\lambda_j\in\mathcal{R}:|\lambda_j|< r \text{ and }\arg(\lambda_j)\in (k\pi,(k+1)\pi)\}\). Therefore, the main result states that the norm of \(\varphi R(\lambda)\varphi\) is bounded by \(C_0\lambda^{m_0}\) such that \(C_0,m_0\) are constants relying on \(\varphi\), a smooth function with compact support in \(\mathbb R^d\) and \(\lambda\in (0,\infty)\). Furthermore, if the wave trace satisfies a meaningful hypothesis and if \(n_e(r)+n_{-1}(r)\) is less -- up to a multiplicative constant -- to \(1+r^d\), then \(r^d\leq C_0(n_{-1}(t)+n_e(r))\) for \(r\) a very huge number where \(n_e(r)\) is the number of eigenvalues associated to \(P\) which are less than \(r^2\), see Theorem 4.1, and the proof is basically based on using a Poisson formula for resonances stated in Theorem 3.6.
