The author proves that for very \(p> 2^*\) (\(2^*= 2n/(n-2)\) is the critical exponent of the Sobolev embedding \(H^{1,2}_0(\Omega)\hookrightarrow L^p(\Omega)\)) and \(h\in\mathbb{N}\) there exists a bounded contractible domain \(\Omega\) such that the problem \[ \begin{aligned} \Delta u &=|u|^{p-2}u= 0,\quad u\not\equiv 0\quad\text{in }\Omega,\\ u &=0\quad \text{on }\partial\Omega\end{aligned}\tag{1} \] has at least \(h\) positive solutions and at least \(h^2\) nodal (sign changing) solutions having exactly two nodal regions. The positive and negative parts of the solutions have both connected support. For all positive integers \(h\) the author finds a bounded domain \[ D^h= T^h\bigcup^h_{j= 1}\overline{B(c_j, \sigma_j)}, \] where \[ T^h= \Biggl\{x= (x_1,x_2,\dots, x_n): \sum^{n- 1}_{i=1} x^2_i< 1,\;0<x_n< h+1\Biggr\}, \] and \(h\) perturbations, obtained by removing \(h\) subsets \(\chi_1,\dots, \chi_n\) small enough such that \(D^n\setminus \bigcup^h_{j= 1}\chi_i\) is a contractible domain and problem (1) has the desired number of solutions. For every \(i= 1,2,\dots, h\), he obtained a positive solution \(u_i\) that concentrates near \(\chi_i\) and for every \(i,j= 1,2,\dots, h\) -- a nodal solution \(u_{ij}\) such that \(u^+_{ij}\) and \(u_{ij}^-\) concentrate near \(\chi_i\) and \(\chi_j\), respectively. Thus, he got \(h\) positive and \(h^2\) nodal solutions.
