The author studies the Navier-Stokes equations in thin two-layer domain with the Navier friction boundary conditions on the top and bottom boundaries, the periodicity condition on the sides, and an interface boundary condition for the stress tensors. It is proved the global existence in time of strong solutions to this problem. For part I, cf. [\textit{L. T. Hoang}, J. Math. Fluid Mech. 12, No. 3, 435--472 (2010; Zbl 1261.35107)]
