The Pfaffian identies considered in this paper are ones which are analogues of a Frobenius' identity for the determinant of a matrix built out of theta functions. In fact this proof identity can be based on the fact that the functions in question are odd and that they satisfy a quartic relation (the Riemann relation). The Pfaffian identies are associated with skew matrices whose entries are made up of similar functions. The main theorem is a theorem analogous to that of Frobenius but also generalizing a formula of I. Schur. Special cases lead to a number of interesting generalizations of the determination of determinants and the Pfaffians of special matrices.
