Hölder continuity of Sobolev functions and quasiconformal mappings (Q1320999): Difference between revisions

We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the imbedding of the Sobolev space \(W^ 1_ p(D)\), \(p> n\), into the Hölder space \(C^{0,\alpha}(\overline D)\). We characterize the situations where a quasiconformal mapping \(f\) of a domain \(D\) onto a domain \(D'\) induces an imbedding of the Sobolev space \(L^ 1_ p(D)\) into \(L^ 1_ q(D')\), \(q< p\).
