An idempotent quasigroup of order \(v\) is a quasigroup \((X,\circ)\), \(|X|= v\), which satisfies \(x \circ x = x\) and \(x \circ y = y \circ x\) for all \(x, y \in X\). It is transitive if there exists a group \(G\) of order \(v\) acting transitively on \(X\) which forms an automorphism group of \((X,\circ)\). It is resolvable if all unordered pairs from \(X\) can be partitioned into subsets \(T_i, 1 \leq i \leq \frac{3(v-1)}{2}\) so that \(\Gamma_i = \{(x,y,x \circ y): \{x,y\} \in T_i\}\) is a partition of \(X\) for each \(i\). Thus we define a transitive resolvable idempotent symmetric quasigroup of order \(v\), denoted TRISQ\((v)\). The authors show that a TRISQ\((v)\) exists for all \(v \equiv 3\pmod 6\), and use them to present a tripling construction for large Kirkman triple systems.
