A classical way to study the geometry of a projective variety \(X\) is to understand the maps from well-known object, e.g. from curves, to the variety \(X\). In this direction one can consider the case of maps from genus \(g\) curves with \(k\) marked points such that the image has a fixed homology class in \(X\). The moduli space of such objects has a natural structure given by the Hilbert scheme, but in general its compactification is not suitable to define invariants of \(X\) via intersection theory. A good substitute is given by the moduli space of \(\epsilon\)-stable quasi-maps from genus \(g\) curves to \(X\), with \(k\) marked points and homology class equal to \(\beta\). For a good reference of this space the reader can see [\textit{I. Ciocan-Fontanine} et al., J. Geom. Phys. 75, 17--47 (2014; Zbl 1282.14022)]. Varying the class \(\beta\) one can construct the generating function, a formal function that encode the degree of these spaces for any class \(\beta\). In this paper the authors compute explicitly this object for \(g=1\), \(k=0\) and \(\epsilon\) small enough for local Calabi-Yau varieties. They apply their result to compute the elliptic Gromow-Witten potential function. The theorems proved in this paper extend some recent results in this direction.
