The paper is concerned with the quantum harmonic oscillator \(H\) defined on \(S(\mathbb{R}^n)\) by \[ H(f)=-\Delta f+V(x)f,\leqno(1) \] where \(V\) is a positive-definite quadratic form and \(S(\mathbb{R}^n)\) is the Schwartz space of rapidly decaying functions over \(\mathbb{R}^n\), and extended over \(L^2(\mathbb{R}^n)\). By using a theorem of Milnor and the Faber-Krahn's inequality, the author gives an upper bound on the number of nodal domains of eigenfunctions of operator (1), and a lower bound on the area of each nodal domain.
