In [J. Am. Math. Soc. 12, No.~4, 1119-1178 (1999; Zbl 0932.05001)], the authors proved that the probability distribution of the length of the first row of a Young diagram of size \(N\) equipped with Pancherel measure converges to the Tracy-Widom distribution for the largest eigenvalue of a random GUE matrix as \(N \to \infty\). In this paper, they prove that the distribution of the length of the second row converges to the Tracy-Widom distribution for the second largest eigenvalue.
