    It is proved that in the class \(\mathcal G_5(5, q)\) of cubic cyclically 5-connected polyhedral graphs with only 5-gons and \(q\)-gons as faces for \(q \geq 8\) and \(q \notin \{13, 16, 18, 21\}\) there are infinitely many non-hamiltonian graphs. It is an open question whether for \(q \in \{6, 7, 13, 16, 18, 21\}\) the class \(\mathcal G_5(5, q)\) has a non-hamiltonian member.
