    Let \(B^{s,b}_{p,q}\), \(1\leq p \leq \infty\), \(0<q\leq \infty\) and \(s\in \mathbb R\), \(b\in \mathbb R\) be the logarithmically perturbed Besov spaces on \(\mathbb R^n\), normed by \[ \Big( \sum^\infty_{j=0} \big[2^{js} (1+j)^b \| (\varphi_j \widehat{f}\, )^\vee | L_p \| \big]^q \Big)^{1/q}, \] where \(\{\varphi_j \}\) is the classical dyadic resolution of unity in \(\mathbb R^n\). If \(b=0\), then \(B^{s,0}_{p,q}\) are the usual Besov spaces. Let \(1\leq p \leq \infty\), \(0<q\leq \infty\), \(b\in \mathbb R\) and \(0\leq s <k \in \mathbb N\). Then \( {\mathcal B}^{s,b}_{p,q}\) collects all \(f\in L_p\) such that \[ \|f\, |L_p \| + \Big( \int^1_0 \Big[ t^{-s} (1- \log t)^b \sup_{|h| \leq t} \big\| \Delta^k_h f \, | L_p \big\| \Big]^q \frac{dt}{t} \Big)^{1/q} \] is finite, where \(\Delta^k_h\) refers to the usual differences. It is known that \(B^{s,b}_{p,q}\) and \({\mathcal B}^{s,b}_{p,q}\) coincide if \(s>0\). Yet in general, these two types of spaces do not coincide if \(s=0\). It is the main aim of this paper to study the delicate situation if \(s=0\), expressed in terms of embeddings. The arguments are based on real interpolation in limiting cases.
