The paper concerns the link between a Sparre equation and a Darboux-Treibich-Verdier (DTV) equation. The authors show that the DTV equation is not only a special case of the Sparre equation, but also its canonical form. Hence, if the general solution of the DTV equation is known, then the general solution of the Sparre equation can be restored immediately. Note that some formulas for elliptic functions, necessary for reading of the paper, can be found in the appendix of the paper.
