This paper studies an elliptic-parabolic system governing the displacement of one incompressible fluid by another in a porous medium. The authors prove that there exists a subsequence of the solutions converging to a weak solution to the degenerate elliptic-parabolic system modelling the flow when the molecular diffusion effects are neglected.
