In this paper the authors study the geometry of compact complex manifolds with Levi-Civita Ricci-flat metrics and classify minimal complex surfaces with Levi-Civita Ricci-flat metrics. This is a continuation of [\textit{K. Liu} and \textit{X. Yang}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 369, No. 7, 5157--5196 (2017; Zbl 1365.53065)] where the first Aeppli-Chern class on compact complex manifolds was introduced, and proved that the \((1,1)\) curvature form of the Levi-Civita represents the first Aeppli-Chern class denoted by \(c_1^ {AC}(X)\). From Calabi-Yau theorem, a compact Kähler manifold has first Chern class \(c_1(X)=0\) if and only if it has a Kähler metric with Ricci-flat metric. In this paper the authors question the analogous: On a compact complex manifold \(X\), if \(c_1^ {AC}(X)=0\), does there exist a smooth Levi-Civita Ricci-flat Hermitian metric? They obtain necessary conditions to answer affirmatively this question. Also using these conditions and the classification of minimal complex surfaces of Kodaira-Enriques, they obtain the main result (Theorem \(1.2\)), which states that a minimal complex surface admitting a Levi-Civita Ricci-flat Hermitian metric lies in Enriques surfaces, \(K3\) surfaces, \(2\)-tori, or Hopf surfaces.
