    This is a nice extension of the spectral result for linear 2D Euler equations to certain modified linear Euler equations. The viscous version should also be doable, especially the continued fraction calculation. In the zero viscosity limit, continued fraction can provide very accurate covergence estimate of isolated point spectrum.
