In this article, the authors study Bousfield localisations and colocalisations of one-dimensional combinatorial model categories. One of the main results of this work states that there exists an order-reversing bijection between combinatorial localisations of a left-proper one-dimensional combinatorial model category $\mathcal{E}$ (ordered by inclusion of acyclic cofibrations) and full, replete, reflective, locally presentable subcategories of $\mathcal{E}_{cf}$ (ordered by inclusion). \par Their approach relies on the constructions of projective and injective liftings of model structures and makes no use of Smith's theorem. Thus, the results they obtain for Bousfield localisations dualise to give analogous results for colocalisations.
