Let \(\Psi:[0,+\infty[\,\to[0,+\infty[\,\) be a \(C^3\)-function satisfying \(\Psi'(x)>0\), \(\Psi''(x)\geq 0\), and \(\Psi'''(x)\geq 0\). Consider the measure \(d\mu_\Psi(z)=e^{-\Psi(|z|^2)}\,dV(z)\), where \(dV\) denotes Lebesgue measure on \({\mathbb C}^n\), and let \({\mathcal A}^2(\Psi)\) be the Fock space defined as the closure of the set of holomorphic polynomials in \(L^2(\mu_\Psi)\). This paper is dedicated to properties of Hankel operators on \({\mathcal A}^2(\Psi)\). Thus, certain natural analogues \(\mathrm{BMOA}(\Psi)\) and \({\mathcal B}(\Psi)\) of BMOA and the Bloch space \({\mathcal B}\) play similar roles as their classical counterparts do. Let \({\mathcal T}(\Psi)\) denote the class of admissible symbols of Hankel operators. The main result of the paper says that if, in addition, \(\Psi\) satisfies \(\Psi''(t)=O(t^{-1/2}[\Psi'(t)]^{1+\eta})\) as \(t\to\infty\) for some \(\eta<1/2\), then for an entire function \(f\) on \({\mathbb C}^n\), the following statements are equivalent: (i) the function \(f\) belongs to \({\mathcal T}(\Psi)\) and the Hankel operator \(H_{\overline{f}}\) on \({\mathcal A}^2(\Psi)\) is bounded; the function \(f\) belongs to \(\mathrm{BMOA}(\Psi)\); the function \(f\) belongs to the Bloch space \({\mathcal B}(\Psi)\). This characterization of boundedness relies on certain precise estimates for the Bergman kernel and the Bergman metric. A characterisation of compact Hankel operators and of Schatten class Hankel operators is also given.
