The paper deals with a different type of symmetry of attractors, i.e. both instantaneous and average symmetries. The authors are mainly interested in the average symmetry of an attractor when its instantaneous attractor is known. This allows lower-dimensional projections compared to an observation space that can distinguish any possible symmetry. They present simple and easily verifiable conditions to ensure that the projection of an attractor in an equivariant dynamical system has the symmetry like the attractor. In the case when the attractor has trivial isotropy, the projection to a faithful representation space is sufficient.
