Steiner triple systems of order 19 and 21 with subsystems of order 7 (Q924955): Difference between revisions

Using sophisticated computational techniques, the subsystem structure of Steiner triple systems of orders 19 and 21 is examined. There are 86,701,547 Steiner triple systems of order 19 that have a subsystem of order 7. Of these, 13,763 also contain a subsystem of order 9. For order 21, it is shown that there are exactly 2,166,351 Steiner triple systems having three disjoint subsystems of order 7.
