Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field and \(A\) be a finite-dimensional \(k\)-algebra of the form \(A=kQ/I\), where \(Q\) is a quiver and \(I\) is an admissible ideal of the path algebra \(kQ\). In this article it is introduced a method for constructing certain tame algebras. This method is based on the construction of new algebras by glueing together certain pairs of vertices of \(Q\). From this glueing method, the author gets a large number of tame algebras, which are called kit algebras. He shows that the string algebras are quotients of the kit ones. Moreover, he proves that the class of kit algebras contains the completely separating pg-critical algebras and some of the tame Schur algebras.
