This paper is a continuation of the series of papers of the authors starting with [Operator Theory: Advances and Applications 161, 115--177 (2006; Zbl 1114.47014)] on the theory of passive time-invariant linear state/signal (s/s) systems. The main feature of these systems is that the input and output signals of a system are not singled out and are elements of a common signal space, \(\mathcal{W}\), which is endowed with an indefinite inner product so that \(\mathcal{W}\) is a Kreĭn space. A subspace of the signal components of the system trajectories satisfying some natural additional assumptions is a (future, past, or full) frequency domain behavior (see the book of [\textit{J. W. Polderman} and \textit{J. C. Willems}, Introduction to mathematical systems theory. A behavioral approach. Texts in Applied Mathematics. 26. New York, NY: Springer (1997; Zbl 0940.93002)] for the behavioral approach to system theory). In the paper under review, simple and conservative canonical (functional shift) s/s system realizations of passive future frequency domain behaviors are constructed and discussed.
