The paper deals with a geometric approach to generate subdivision curves. A new geometry driven subdivision scheme (incenter subdivision scheme) is purposed. In Section 2 the incenter subdivision scheme is introduced an some properties derived directly from the scheme are presented. In Section 3 the authors show how to generate a spiral segment by the purposed scheme while in Section 4 the smoothness analysis of the scheme is presented. The properties of the scheme are proved in Section 5, where some experimental examples are also presented. Section 6 contains some concluding remarks.
