The authors deal with an eigenvalue (buckling) problem \(\triangle^2u=-\Lambda \triangle u\;\text{in}\;\Omega,\;u| _{\partial \Omega}=\frac{\partial u}{\partial n}| _{\partial \Omega}=0.\) They derived a universal inequality for the \((k+1)^{th}\) eigenvalue which is similar to the inequalities obtained for membrane and biharmonic eigenvalue problem. The main results are the estimates \[ \sum_{i=1}^k(\Lambda_{k+1}-\Lambda_i)^2\leq \frac {4(n+2)}{n^2} \sum_{i=1}^k(\Lambda_{k+1}-\Lambda_i)\Lambda_i, \] \[ \begin{multlined}\Lambda_{k+1}\leq \left(1+\frac {2(n+2)}{n^2}\right)\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k\Lambda_i \\+\left[\left(\frac {2(n+2)}{n^2}\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k\Lambda_i\right)^2- \left(1+\frac {4(n+2)}{n^2}\right)\frac 1k \sum_{j=1}^k\left(\Lambda_j-\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k\Lambda_i\right)^2\right]^{\frac 12},\end{multlined} \] \[ \Lambda_{k+1}-\Lambda_k\leq 2\left[\left(\frac {2(n+2)}{n^2}\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k\Lambda_i\right)^2- \left(1+\frac {4(n+2)}{n^2}\right)\frac 1k \sum_{j=1}^k\left(\Lambda_j-\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k\Lambda_i\right)^2\right]^{\frac 12}, \] \[ \Lambda_{k+1}-\Lambda_k\leq \Lambda_{k+1}- \frac 1k \Lambda_i \leq \frac {4(n+2)}{n^2}\frac 1k \sum_{i=1}^k \Lambda_i. \]
