The nonconforming \(P_k\)-\(P_{k-1}\) elements for the two-dimensional Stokes problem are studied. When proving the inf-sup condition, they avoid the conditions on the grid that \textit{L. R. Scott} and \textit{M. Vogelius} had to impose [RAIRO, Modél. Math. Anal. Numér. 19, 111--143 (1985; Zbl 0608.65013)]. Specifically, it is not necessary to exclude \textit{singular points} after bubble functions with higher order polynomials are added to the finite element functions.
