The author studies the projective description problem for a (countably) weighted space of continuous functions on a completely regular Hausdorff space X. In the case where X is discrete this problem has been solved by using condition (D) of \textit{K. D. Bierstedt} and \textit{R. Meise} [Aspects of Math. Appl., Collect. Pap. Hon. L. Nachbin, 169-226, Amsterdam (1986; Zbl 0645.46027)] but the result does not extend to arbitrary X. The author obtains a full characterisation, using condition (D), by imposing a mild condition on the overall setup - she requires every element of the maximal Nachbin family to be dominated by a continuous element in the same family. This is easily seen to be satisfied if X is locally compact and \(\sigma\)-compact. As a corollary the author shows that here results are stable under finite tensor products. The article is a good example of how to technically bridge the gap between discrete echelon spaces and locally convex spaces of weighted continuous function on nondiscrete spaces.
