The quermassintegral inequalities for \(k\)-convex starshaped domains (Q1023046): Difference between revisions

The main result of the paper (Theorem 2) extends the celebrated Alexandrov-Fenchel quermassintegral inequality for a convex domain [see \textit{A. D. Aleksandrov}, Rec. Math. Moscou, n. Ser. 2, 1205--1238 (1937; Zbl 0018.27601 and JFM 63.1235.01) and Rec. Math. Moscou 3, 27--46 (1938; Zbl 0018.42402)] to smooth \(k\)-convex starshaped domains. The proof uses a result of \textit{C. Gerhardt} [J. Differ. Geom. 32, No.~1, 299--314 (1990; Zbl 0708.53045)] and \textit{J. I. E. Urbas} [Math. Z. 205, No.~3, 355--372 (1990; Zbl 0691.35048)] on an expanding geometric curvature flow.
