The author studies a \(p\)-adic analogue of Lafforgues theorem that for function fields over finete fields automorphic forms correspond to \(l\)-adic local systems. The \(p\)-adic analogue consists of overconvergent \(F\)-crystals. He shows that a map in one direction (automorphic forms to \(F\)-crystals) suffices, as the converse follows from the author's work an epsilon factors. In a paper [``Langlands correspondence for isocrystals and existence of crystalline companion for curves'', \url{arXiv:1310.0528}, to appear in J. Am. Math. Soc. \url{doi:10.1090/jams/898}]) he has constructed such a map.
