The Cauchy-Szegő operator is the projection of \(L^2(\partial B)\) onto the boundary values of holomorphic functions on \(B\), where \(B\) is the unit ball in \(\mathbb{C}^n\). This projection operator can be diagonalized by a standard orthonormal basis of holomorphic polynomials \(p_\nu^k\), with coefficients equal to one. (\(k\) denotes the degree of the polynomial). In this paper the authors consider variants of the Cauchy-Szegő projection which are also diagonalized by the above basis, but with coefficients \(b(k)\) allowed to depend on the degree \(k\). These coefficients are also assumed to extend to an \(H^\infty\) function \(b(z)\) on a sector neighbourhood of the real subspace \(\mathbb{R}^n\) of \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Given these assumptions the authors show that the resulting operator is a Calderón-Zygmund operator. The authors also show that this class of operators is the natural functional calculus arising from the radial Dirac operator \(\sum_i z_i \partial_{z_i}\).
