Finite time blowup of solutions to semilinear wave equation in an exterior domain (Q2287268): Difference between revisions

The authors consider the initial-boundary value problem of semilinear wave equation with nonlinearity \(|u|^p\) in exterior domain in \(\mathbb{R}^{N} (N\geq 3)\). For small data solutions, they give upper bounds of lifespan, which are essentially the same as the Cauchy problem in \(\mathbb{R}^{N}\). In the case \(N=4\), their estimates are sharp in view of the work by \textit{D. Zha} and \textit{Y. Zhou} [J. Math. Pures Appl. (9) 103, No. 3, 788--808 (2015; Zbl 1320.35230)].
