A generalization of the Littlewood-Richardson rule for \(U_ q ({\mathfrak g})\) is given by making use of crystal base, where \({\mathfrak g}\) is classical. The rule describes explicitly the irreducible decomposition of tensor products of the given finite-dimensional representations. The author gives many examples which make the paper accessible.
