In this paper, the authors study a short range CS model with delay and its corresponding time asymptotical behavior. The authors show the velocity \(v_i\) will asymptotically tend to the time average of \(x_i\) for any initial data, no matter flocking emergence or not. Moreover, the authors provide more delicate estimates on the sufficient condition of flocking and non-flocking emergence.
