Interpolation by polynomials using the set of nonegative reals as argument space is a useful tool, but it has to be considered that the approximands to be approximated may be growing. In this paper, even exponentially growing functions are considered. Therefore the operators used have to be weighted with exponentially decaying weights, perhaps also multiplied by finite powers. The authors admit approximands that are growing exponentially both at the origin and at infinity, and therefore weights \(w(x)=x^\gamma\exp(-x^{-\alpha}-x^\beta)\) are used. Both the Lebesgue numbers are analysed as well as convergence properties. The former are shown to grow at most logarithmically with degree of the polynomials, whereas the latter are shown to be converging at the rate of best approximations by polynomials. The errors are considered within sets of weighted \(L^p\)-spaces for all finite \(p>1\).
