The paper considers positive solutions of elliptic Kirchhoff equations by some standard arguments of nonlinear functional analysis. The main tools are the local and global bifurcation theory and the critical point theory. The asymptotical and superlinear cases for the nonlinearities and some degenerated cases which are not covered in the previous papers are investigated. The paper also contains a result by a well-known perturbation method and several further results without proofs about the multiple solutions of the problem under some conditions.
