Let \(H(q)\) be the function satisfying the relation \[ \frac{1}{H(q)}-H(q)=\frac{\varphi(q^2)}{q^{1/2}\psi(q^4)}\tag{1} \] where \[ \varphi(q) =\sum_{k=-\infty}^\infty q^{k^2} \quad\text{and}\quad \psi(q) =\sum_{k=0}^\infty q^{k(k+1)/2}. \] The function \(H(q)\) has a continued fraction expansion and is now known as the Ramanujan-Göllnitz-Gordon continued fraction. In this article, the authors used (1) and various modular equations to derive relations between \(H(q)\) and \(H(q^n)\) for \(n=3,5,7\) and 11.
