As an extension of the Wasserstein contraction derived for diffusion process on Riemannian manifolds, a explicit upper bound estimate is presented for the quadratic Wasserstein distance of solutions to the following porous equation on a complete Riemannian manifold \(M\): \[ \partial_t \rho_t= \Delta P(\rho_t),\ \ t\ge 0, \] where \(\rho_t> 0\) is such that \[ \int_M \rho_t (x)\mathrm{vol}(d x)=\rho_0 \] for some constant \(\rho_0>0\), \(P\in C^1([0,\infty))\) is comparable to \(0\le r\mapsto r^m\) for some constant \(m>1\), and the Riemannian manifold \(M\) is of dimension \(n\ge 3\), Ricci curvature bounded below, and satisfies the Sobolev inequality.
