The author presents several numerical experiments, validating the analytical theory of stationary corner solutions for the Navier-Stokes equations with low Reynolds number Stokes linearization. These are then used to discuss unsteady vortex separation in the dynamics of two- dimensional driven cavity flow. The paper also contains a discussion on the fine structure dynamics at higher Reynolds numbers.
