Under some assumptions on Lamé coefficients, the existence and uniqueness of a small global in time weak solution to a semilinear system of elastic waves on a \(n\)-dimensional exterior domain with damping near infinity satisfying the Dirichlet boundary conditions are proved. Using the estimates for the corresponding linear system, the authors obtain decay rate of the total energy and the \(L^2\)-norm of the above solution for \(t\rightarrow \infty .\)
