The paper deals with a hierarchical model of polymer pinning in the presence of quenched disorder which has been introduced by \textit{B. Derrida} et al. [J. Stat. Phys. 66, No.5-6, 1189--1213 (1992; Zbl 0900.82051)]. Loosely speaking, it is shown that, depending upon the values of some system parameters, a small amount of randomness on the initial condition, or similarly a small disorder, modifies substantially the critical point.
