The author considers operators of the form \[ L_\lambda= \sum^m_{j=1} X^2_j+ \Delta\qquad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^n, \] where \(\lambda\) is a small parameter and the smooth vector fields \(X_j\), \(j= 1,\dots, m\), \(m< n\), satisfy the Hörmander condition rank Lie \((X_1,\dots, X_m)= n\). The operator \(L_\lambda\) is therefore hypoelliptic for all \(\lambda> 0\), as well as the sum-of-squares \(L_0= \sum^m_{j=1} X^2_j\). Schauder estimates are known for \(L_0\), see \textit{M. Bramanti} and \textit{L. Brandolini} [J. Differ. Equations 234, No. 1, 177--245 (2007; Zbl 1113.35033)], as well as for \(L_\lambda\) with bounds depending on \(\lambda\). Here the author proves Schauder estimates for \(L_\lambda\) with bounds that are uniform with respect to the regularization parameter \(\lambda\). Such estimates are very useful when studying regularity of the viscosity solutions of the nonlinear generalizations of \(L_0\).
