A transversal map \(f\) on a compact differentiable manifold \( X \) is a \( C^{1} \) map \(f:X\to X\), such that \(f(X)\subset\mathrm{Int}(X)\) and for all positive integer \(m\) at each point \(x\) fixed by \(f^{m}\) it holds \(\mathrm{det}(\mathrm{Id} - Df^{m}(x)) \neq 0.\) If \(x\in X\) and \(f(x)=x\) we say that \(x\) is a fixed point of the map \(f\). If \(f^{m}(x)=x\) and \(f^{k}(x)\neq x\) for all \(k=1,\dots,m-1\), then we say that \(x\) is a periodic point of the map \(f\) of period \(m\). The set \(\{x, f(x),\dots,f^{m-1}(x)\}\) is called the periodic orbit of \(x\). The set of the periods of all periodic points of a map \(f:X\to X\) is denote by \(\mathrm{Per}(f)\). In this paper the author studies the periodic structure of transversal maps on the \(n\)-dimensional torus and on products of spheres of the same dimension. Also, the author present similar results for spaces whose homology is similar to products of spheres of the same dimension. The following is one of the main results. Theorem. Let \(X\) be rational exterior space of rank \(n\) endowed with a \(C^{1}\) structure. Let \(f\) be a transversal self map on \(X\) such that \(f\) has an eigenvalue larger than one in norm and does not have roots of unity as eigenvalues. Then there exists an integer \(N\) such that: (1) If \(m>N\) is odd then \(m\in\mathrm{Per}(f)\). (2) If \(m>N\) is even then \(m\) or \(m/2\) is in \(\mathrm{Per}(f)\).
