In this paper, the authors consider the second order Sturm-Liouville type boundary value problem on time scales \(P^{f,g}_{\lambda, \mu}\) of the form \[ -(p(x) u^{\Delta})^{\Delta}(t)+q(t) u^{\sigma}(t) =\lambda f(t,u^{\sigma}(t))+ \mu g(t,u^{\sigma}(t))\tag{\(\ast\)} \] with the boundary conditions \[ \alpha_{1}u(0)-\alpha_{2}u^{\Delta}(0)=0, \quad \alpha_{3}u(\sigma^{2}(T))+\alpha_{4}u^{\Delta}(\sigma(T))=0 \] on the interval \([0,T]\), where \(p\in C^{1}([0,\sigma(T)],(0,+\infty))\), \(q\in C([0,T],[0,+\infty))\), \(f,g\in C([0,T]\times \mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})\), \(\lambda>0\), \(\mu\geq 0\), \(\alpha_{i}\geq 0\) for \(i=1,2,3,4\), \(\sigma(0)=0\), \(\sigma(T)=T\), \(\alpha_{1}+\alpha_{2}\geq 0\), \(\alpha_{3}+\alpha_{4} > 0\) and \(\alpha_{1}+\alpha_{3} > 0\). First, the authors formulate their main results discussing the existence of infinitely many solutions for the problem \(P^{f,g}_{\lambda, \mu}\). Their main tool to ensure the results is a smooth version (Theorem 2.1 from [\textit{G. Bonanno} and \textit{G. Molica Bisci}, Bound. Value Probl. 2009, Article ID 670675, 20 p. (2009; Zbl 1177.34038)]) which is a more precise version of Ricceri's variational principle (Theorem 2.5 from [\textit{B. Ricceri}, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 113, No. 1--2, 401--410 (2000; Zbl 0946.49001)]). Then, applying variational methods and critical point theory, they prove the existence of a sequence of solutions for the dynamic problem \(P^{f,g}_{\lambda, \mu}\), and also present an example to illustrate the main results.
