    The author studies weak solutions of the system \[ \int_\Omega \left\langle A(x,D^mu),D^m\varphi\right\rangle dx = \int_\Omega \left\langle| F(x)^{p(x)-2}| F(x), D^m\varphi\right\rangle dx, \] where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(\varphi \in W_0^{m,1}(\Omega; \mathbb{R}^N)\) with \(| D^m\varphi| ^{p(x)}\in L^1_{loc}(\Omega)\) and \(\text{supp}\;\varphi\Subset \Omega\), and \(A\) is a vector field \(A:\Omega\times \odot^m(\mathbb{R}^n,\mathbb{R}^N)\to \text{Hom} \left(\odot^m(\mathbb{R}^n,\mathbb{R}^N,\mathbb{R}\right), F: \Omega \to \mathbb{R}^{N{n+m-1\choose m}}\). Here \(\odot^m(\mathbb{R}^n,\mathbb{R}^N)\) stands for the space of symmetric \(m\)-linear forms on \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with values in \(\mathbb{R}^N.\) It is supposed that \(A\) satisfies the \(p(x)\)-growth: there exists a \(\mu\in [0,1]\) such that \[ \left\langle D_\zeta A(x,\zeta)\lambda,\lambda\right\rangle \approx (\mu^2+| \zeta| ^2)^\frac{p(x)-2} {2}| \lambda| ^2, \] so that the author admits the degeneracy case \(\mu=0\) as well. The exponent \(p(x)\) is assumed to satisfy the standard-log condition. The main result runs as follows: there exists a \(\delta >0\) such that \ if \(| F| ^{p(\cdot)}\in L^q_{\text{loc}}(\Omega),\) with \(1<q<\frac{n}{n-2}+\delta \), then \(| D^mu| ^{p(\cdot)}\in L^q_{\text{loc}}(\Omega)\), which is a partial extension of the known results for the case \(N=m=1\) studied by \textit{E. Acerbi} and \textit{G. Mingione} [J. Reine Angew. Math. 584, 117--148 (2005; Zbl 1093.76003)].
