The author uses the technique of the Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism to construct new cohomology classes on the compactifications of moduli space of Riemann surfaces starting with a contractible differential graded Frobenius algebra. The evaluation of these classes on some homology classes can be described in terms of the Feynman diagram expansion of some functional integral. Finally, computations done in a number of cases show that these cohomology classes are nontrivial in general.
