The study of homology spheres is an important topic in topology. The author mainly focuses on the effective smooth action of TL(2,5) on homology spheres. Following the work of \textit{P. Mizerka} [Osaka J. Math. 60, No. 1, 1--14 (2023; Zbl 1510.57029)], the author proves that (1) there never exists an effective smooth action of TL(2,5) on a homology sphere of dimension 21, with exactly one fixed point; (2) If an effective smooth action of TL(2,5) on a homology sphere has only one fixed point, then the tangential representation contains an irreducible TL(2,5)-subrepresentation of dimension 6.
